PTCS Training Program:

     We come to your business and offer a three day course in duct testing and sealing.

     We provide course materials & equipment.

     You will need:     
     Overalls, gloves, mastic, lighting, cordless screw gun with quarter inch chuck for

     sheet metal screws.   
             

     Training Procedures:

     Minimum of four students, maximum ten students.

 

     Day One. 
     Meet in class room 8:30 Am

     Course materials and slide show
Day Two.   In field training  
     Existing Home: 50% of the ducts must be located to outside of home

     Introduction to air handler & highest point of pressures

     Review duct system, attic and crawl space

     Duct testing. Pre test, Familiarization with equipment. Blower door, duct 
     blaster, manometer, PTCS forms.   
   
     HANDS ON TRAINING!

 

     Day Two. Sealing ducts, explanation of air flow and types of ducts with building   

     pressures.

     Day Three: In field: Morning: Post test on duct system, Afternoon: Class 
     Room: review & written test.
 

    Each student will install blower door and duct blaster. He or she will have to 

    demonstrate the ability to test the duct system. With our program each student will have   the opportunity to install the blower door and duct blaster multiple times. Not only will the 
    student understand duct leakage they will also be trained in air balancing & pressures.

    If we are to use your customer’s home they will receive quality work and cash incentives if applicable.
We work under your license and bond if it is your customers existing home. The training will be conducted with professionalism and care to your customer’s home. Precautions will be taken to assure that the home is kept clean by your installers placing appropriate coverings on floors such as rolled paper or plastic sheeting. 
Customer is to be notified that this is a training course. We will need customers contact information so that we may inspect the home prior to training.

Only students that are being trained will be allowed in training room, we do not want distractions.

If you are not supplying the home for training we will have arrangements made for the proper existing home training in your area.

We are accredited and certified by PTCS / Bonneville Power to conduct QA inspections duct testing & sealing applications.

We have over fifteen years in HVAC experience.

 

Cost: $ 450.00 per student per course.
